Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda

I will meditate on your precepts
and fix my eyes on your ways.

Psalm 119:15 ESV

We all experience moments, seasons or even longer periods of time finding ourselves preoccupied with regret. I too have waged this battle and know all too well there is no simple fix or magic mantra to eradicate all internal strife. But there is one action that leads to peace. And there is one simple reason this discipline causes our heart to rest. Our heart rests because it elevates someone over what we’re fretting about. It’s worship. Worship is the act of focusing our mind, heart and actions upon the God who is in control and has all authority. Worship reminds us that God is who first came close.

May you not waste energy regretting yesterday and not waste energy fretting about tomorrow. Take that same energy and focus your attention on God, your provider, today. He call reconcile yesterday and provide for tomorrow. Join me today and let’s worship together.

God’s Not Done,
Scott
