God does loving things. That’s true. And God loves us. That’s true too. But the bible says that “God IS love.” The implications are staggering. Because he is love, everything he does he does not because he chooses to be loving. But rather he chooses to be himself. He can’t help it. Love is what he does because love is who he is.
May you rest in the tangible love of God today. May your heart explode with the knowledge that you have been loved all along. And may your mind learn that to know God more is to experience his love deeper than you could ever fathom. May you know deep down inside that’s…there’s nothing you can do to cause God to love you more and nothing you can do to cause him to love you less.
