And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Philippians 4:8 NLT
Research shows that emotionally healthy people have learned to practice the discipline of choosing joy. We all experience disappointment, bad news, and the general battle to to guard our minds against negative thoughts. Some people think that their in the category of that got dealt a “bad life” and that’s why their thoughts are so negative. Not so. The bible teaches that we can discipline our thinking and science is proving it to be true.
May you first believe the scripture above that your thoughts can be focused “on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable.” May you choose today to lead your thoughts. May you not be a victim of the negative noise around us all. And may you experience peace today as the result of choosing what you think on.
God’s Not Done,
