On this day, 70 years ago, Michelle’s Grandma & Grandpa tied the knot.
SEVENTY YEARS! August 29, 1940 to be exact.

21 years ago today I said “I do.” And she said “ok, if I must.” Just kidding.
Truth be told she is a weird blend of routine and spontaneity. She’s fiercely committed to having her quiet time with Jesus every morning followed by a trip to the gym. Honestly, these two components help to make her very attractive to me. Just sayin!
But she’s always up for something new. The new restaurant. The next adventure. And the surprise out of the blue.
And I need that! Left up to myself I’d work too long, nap too much, and spend weekends at home. But not her! She’s the go-getter. The try something new, let’s get-outta-Dodge girl!
And I love that! I love her!
And she’s likes sushi! 
Today my princess turns 16. I’ll spare you my remarks about how old that makes me feel if you agree to refrain from similar comments!
If I was to write out a vision for her 16 years I would have not even come close to dreaming whom she would become! She is humble yet ambitious. Courageous yet sensitive. Conscientious yet focused. She’s the kind of person that will be running a multi-million dollar business on Friday and serving the homeless on Saturday.

On Saturday, my family and I and Cambria’s boyfriend (Logan) ran their first 5K. They did great and we’re already talking about doing it again.
