Some random election eve thoughts:
- Tomorrow at this time we should know who our next president will be. I'm told this is an historic election. I'm old enough now to have heard that before but I don't doubt it.
- I voted today for the person who will not tax me and has promised the moon. Just kidding. I did vote though.
- Everyone gets a free coffee at Starbucks tomorrow.
- Please SNL, stay as funny as you have been during this campaign season. America needs you.
- I think my wife should run for President in 2016.
- Jesus is still King if your candidate loses.

I puked all over my cousin Molly's blog in a comment I left to her post about Halloween, her two awesome kids and the good old days when kids didn't wear helmets. So reading her post might help make sense of the following…
I can't agree more! Just because we can prevent a kid from smashing his two front teeth out doesn't mean we should. That's what toughens us up, gives us bragging rights, makes me feel like my dad could beat up your weenie, helmet wearing, pansy, "you're swinging a little too high now Johnny" dad!
I say let kids brake an arm now and then, let em eat dirt, let em play kick the can in the pitch black until 12am on Friday. Let em pick teams the old fashioned way, brag about where they went on "Christmas" Vacation. Scarf homemade cupcakes at school their mom made for the birthday party and punch the kid who said they were gross.
Maybe, just maybe the reason we have a culture that lacks conviction is because we're conditioned to fear everything.
Happy Halloween! And don't forget to inspect your kids' candy. I will!

I just left Bloglines for Google Reader. As with every Google product I use, Google Reader is better.
If you read more than a couple blogs than I suggest you subscribe to their feed through an RSS reader. You can subscribe to ScottHarris.org through your favorite but check out www.google.com/reader.

Ok folks, help a brother out. Since moving, I've been asked over and over, "So, what do you do for fun?" This is a tough question to answer for me because I do family, work, family and work. I'm not an avid anything!
But this inquisition has got me dreaming about picking up a hobby or two. Maybe you can help me narrow my focus. Here's some criteria for a new endeavor:
- It's got to be cheap.
- Can't take all day.
- Needs to be active.
- Competitive is a bonus.
What do you think I should try?
