Weekend Recap is a look back at my sometimes chaotic, sometimes boring and most of the time somewhere in-between weekend.

• First of all… Congratulations to Jesse & Danielle on the arrival of their baby girl; Vera Jade Anderson, born on August 13th at 7:55pm, 8 lbs 7 oz. It sounded like a roller coaster delivery but baby and mommy are doing fine. It’s reported that Jesse’s hairline has receded like the tide though.
• Michelle and I met up with great friends (and their husbands tagged along) Friday evening at Belltown Pizza. Great food and catching up!
• Saturday was crazy… all 4 Harris’ went different directions in the morning. I spent the morning serving alongside my Brooklake peeps at the Tacoma Rescue Mission. What a great organization! Just a side note: David Curry, the CEO, and I went to college together. So cool to see God use him in such a powerful way!
• Michelle and I spent the rest of the day riding. From Marymoor in Redmond to Seward Park (Seattle) and back…60 miles. Training for the Whidbey Century in late September.
• Wrapped up my Everyday Faith series at Brooklake with the final message, When We Ask God Why. And our Kids Ministry put on their annual water event, Splash. Great Sunday!
• And as if all that’s not enough… Jammed up to Lake Goodwin with Ian and his family to chill. Great way to wrap up an amazing weekend with amazing people!
