Weekend Recap
Weekend Recap is a look back at all the fun, crazy, mundane and powerful moments in my weekend.
- Friday my cousin, Molly, and her husband, Ryan, brought their 3 kids (and our god kids) over for the night. Tons of fun! Love those kids!
- U2 canceled their June 20th show because of Bono’s injury. So our band covered 4 U2 songs. When I say it was awesome…trust me that is not ‘evangelistically’ speaking. They rocked the place. And it was worshipful…some seriously poignant lyrics.
- My message was from James 1:1-12. I had one of those sacred moments today. Call it the anointing. Call it whatever. But God was there to help. I’m so thankful for the sacred trust to communicate on behalf of God.
- Despite the rain, Brooklake’s Motor Ministry put on our first annual Father’s Day Car & Motorsports Show. Such a cool thing to see all the amazing cars, trucks and bikes. I had the privilege of choosing the Pastor’s Pick. My choice? A black ’67 Mustang Fastback.
- This afternoon Michelle’s side of the family starting arriving at our place to celebrate Father’s Day. All in all we had 23 uncles, aunts, cousins, 2nd cousins and Michelle’s Grandpa and Grandma whom have been married for 70 years. Great food, fun and conversations!
- Happy Father’s Day dads!
- And a special thanks to my wife and daughters for making today so very special to me. Your words, cards, gifts, tweets, hugs and smiles blessed me so much! I love you!
