Lazy Day Dreamer
I have a love/hate relationship with my days off. I know this is going to sound sick to many but I actually love what I do! I like preparing sermons, leading teams, and even meetings where we’re trouble-shooting some annoying problem.
Actually, my mind never turns off. I’m a dreamer…I never stop dreaming about what the church should be in the future.
Therein lies my dilemma: trying to turn off my imagination. Can’t!
But instead of battling this mind game, I’m taking a slightly different angle. On my day off, I’m not scheduling anything that drains me but neither am I saying no to whatever recharges me…even if it is ministry related.
