Hey God…
…thanks for a wife and children who are healthy, loving and unpredictable. Thank you that they cheer me on and pray for me often (even if it’s that I’ll take them to Dairy Queen). Thank you for a job but not just an income, though that would be enough, but for the opportunity to bring up there down here. Thanks for pain, for hardship and for the things I begged you to take away, I like whom they helped to create. Thank you for the sun, the seasons, melody and harmony. Thank you for the wisdom of others and the awkwardness of becoming a man. And thank you for Jesus, in whom I lean into, in all things.
